2017 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Announcement | Send Application

Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), its co-venture partners and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) hereby invites applications from qualified Nigerian students for the 2017 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme. The programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerians. It provides yearly grant to the successful applicants from their second year to the completion of their degree programme.

Who Can Apply

Applicant must:

  • Be a citizen of Nigeria
  • Currently be in their second year of full-time study in a Nigerian University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in a 5-grade system
  • Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship (National – or International)

How to Apply

1. Every applicant should have a valid personal email account (for consistent communication).

2. Candidates who meet the above eligibility criteria should apply online at: https://www.nnpc-snepcoscholarship.shell.com to provide the required personal & educational details, and upload scanned copies of the following:

  • A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, and not more than 200kilobytes;
  • University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission Letter;
  • Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME)Scores;
  • O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable; and
  • Letter of Identification from State of origin indicating applicant’s local government of origin.
  • Students are to upload their 100 level results.

Note:

  • Each document submitted online must not exceed 200KB and the image format must be in JPEG.

Merit Based Scholarship for International Students, 2018 | Syracuse University, USA

Archbold, and the fourth Chancellor of Syracuse University, James Roscoe Day, this award recognizes students who show exceptional leadership potential and the promise of changing the world for the better. Archbold-Day scholars are admitted to the Honors Program.
  • Achievement Scholarship ($22,575 annually)
  • Distinguished Art Portfolio Award ($10,000 annually)
  • Distinguished Drama Performance Award ($10,000 annually)
  • Distinguished Music Performance Award ($10,000 annually)
  • Distinguished Architecture Portfolio Award ($10,000 annually)

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in, or have graduated from, an accredited secondary school.

Eligible Nationalities: International students can apply for these scholarships.

100% Scholarships Less Privileged Foreign Students – 2018. A Japanese based, non-for-profit institution, Ashinaga, is offering a range of fully funded scholarships to students who are considered as ‘poor’, less privileged and maybe orphans. The following eligibility criteria apply to all applicants for the Rhodes Scholarships

Education: All applicants must have achieved academic standing sufficiently advanced to assure completion of a bachelor’s degree by the October following election. Academic standing must be sufficiently high to ensure admission to the University of Oxford, which has very competitive entry requirements, and to give confidence that Rhodes Scholars will perform to a high academic standard in Oxford. Individual constituencies may specify a 1st or equivalent. Some constituencies require an undergraduate degree to have been taken within the constituency of application.

Age: Age limits vary between constituencies and range from a minimum age limit of 18 to a maximum of 28 by 1 October of the year following selection. In most constituencies, the age limit is 24 or 25. Please check carefully the specific age requirements for your constituency before applying. Successful candidates will arrive in Oxford the October following the selection process. The Scholarship may not normally be deferred.

Eligibility:

To eligible for scholarship, you must

  • Have accepted a place on a full-time master’s course at Oxford Brookes University, i.e. a course leading to an MA, MSc, MBA or LLM. You must be a new full-time master’s student starting your course in September of the 2011/12 academic year.
  • The scholarship scheme is normally open to UK, EU and International students unless otherwise stated.
  • You should have, or expect to obtain, a good honours degree or equivalent from a recognized institution of higher education, or have experience which demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills at honours degree standard.
  • Candidates receiving awards from other sources of funding which cover all their tuition fees will not be eligible for a John Henry Brookes Scholarship; eligibility is not affected by funding covering maintenance costs.
